IoT - Handling parts: 3D Motion Sensor

The motion sensors are intelligent devices that can interpret movements, such as gestures, so that the device connected to it can generate specific actions.

Normally, these sensors have 2 RGB Cameras (Red, Green, Blue) and a depth sensor (InfraRed), which allows the accessory to scan the surrounding environment in three dimensions.

The handling parts system Parthenon uses 3D motion sensors and software that interacts with the operator at the moment of the handling get part to be assembled in the assembly by means of a voice command and visual indication, verifying that the handing movement (get parts) is correct in that assembly phase.

All handling parts movements are recorded in a database and used to visualize the bottleneck points, stopped lines, minimize assembly time, and improve the quality of the final product.
